Junior Golf

There is no better way to introduce the next generation to the game of golf than through actually taking them to a course. At LPCC we welcome junior golfers and do all we can to encourage their interest in the game. Junior golf is a special time for kids to learn more about the game of golf. Our junior golf clinics, which are held in June, cover the golfing basics, including:

  • Rules
  • Etiquette
  • Full Swing
  • Short Game

During each clinic, prizes are awarded to the most improved golfer in each category covered. Following the clinics, a mini "club championship" is played to reward the kids for a great junior clinic.

High school golfers, who play on the high school team, can take part in a separate clinic that has a professional present. At these clinics the students dictate what is taught. The 45 minute lesson is then carried onto the course where the professional provides tips on different shot techniques and can critique areas for the students to improve.
